I am a retired businesswoman who now reads/writes books as well as rides/trains my Arabian horses. I also love adventurous travel.
I have written six books.
The first three were self-published: My 155-page autobiography "Metamorphosis: My Journay of Growth and Change" also contains 80 pictures of my adventures, experiences and travels. "Volunteer to Empower" was written after I volunteered, with a non-profit organization, Cross Cultural Solutions, in Moshi, Tanzania. The book tells of my experiences, and knowledge given and gained, while working with Tanzanian small business women. Ancient Egypt and the Nile" relates my adventures in and around Cairo from racing Arabian horses over the Sahara sands to sailing down the Nile to Aswan and hot-air ballooning over the Valley of the Kings.
My last two books are a Cowgirl Series, published by PublishAmerica. "So You Wanna be a Cowgirl", ISBN 1-4241-7569-0, Apr 07 is my tale of a businesswoman from Maine working summers as a horse wrangler and trail guide at a dude ranch in Cody, Wyoming. "Cowgirl Days", ISBN 1-60563-218-X Apr 08, is the sequel and the adventures continue into Montana where sthe lady wrangler trains mustangs, gets involved in endurance racing, and seriously falls for a handsome cowboy outfitter.
My future endeavors include writing a series of children's horse books, illustrated by Deborah DeShon. The first book, "Horse Tails by Shasta" has just been released. The second in the series, "Horse Tails by Mookie the Mustang" is slated to be released next spring. Thereafter I intend to write a book per year, until I'm out of words or ideas...
