I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS). I believe that good therapy is a dynamic collaboration built on authentic relationship, and that our stories and our creativity have the power to heal us. I graduated with a Master's in Social Work from the University of New England in 2002; I earned my Bachelor's degree in English from USM. In 2008 I opened my private practice, the Center for Creative Healing, where I offer both individual counseling and therapeutic life story writing and storytelling groups.
In counseling with me, certain questions are likely to emerge:
What are your life themes? Where do they come from? How have they served you? How do they get in the way? What is the story you want to tell about your life? What changes do you need to make to begin to move your life in that direction?
A writer and musician, owned by two cats and a Great Dane, I also believe that sometimes laughter really is the best medicine.
